Who We Are

The Michiana Amateur Computer Society, Inc. is a computer club that offers education, information and help for members (and guests) with IBM and IBM Compatible computers. Club meetings take place on the 3rd Tuesday of each month (except January and July) at 7:00 PM in Room H-310 (A computer room on the second floor) of the Michigan City Ivy Tech Campus (Community College of Indiana), 3714 Franklin Street, Michigan City, IN.

Club meetings consist of committee reports, business meeting, question & answer period, and a main program on a computer related topic. Meeting program topics are advertised by radio and newspaper. A newsletter, MACSFacts, is published monthly before the meeting.

MACS was incorporated in Indiana in 1982 as a non-profit educational corporation. It operates under a Constitution and By-Laws. The Officers of the Club/Corporation are elected annually by the membership.

What We Do

Educational programs, offered on various computer hardware or software related topics, are offered in spring and fall sessions. These sessions are usually on 6 consecutive Mondays, at a place to be announced. These educational programs are FREE to Club members. Attendance/participation in the educational sessions requires Club membership.
